Team NB Canada Games Alumni selected to AUS Women's All-Star teams

At the Atlantic University Sport Women's Volleyball Championships Banquet, members of the 2009 Team NB Volleyball at Canada Games were named to All-Star teams and received a major award.

Named to the All-Rookie team was Véronique Carroll (Moncton) from the Aigles Bleues de l'Université de Moncton who played on the Women's Indoor team.

First Team All-Stars included Canada Games Beach duo Hilary Cummings (Sussex) who plays with the Cape Breton University Capers and Jill Blanchard (Saint John) with the UNB Varsity Reds. Also on the AUS First team in Indoor Team NB Member Tanya Paulin (Ste. Rosette) also with the Varsity Reds.

The SMU Huskies captured the AUS Championships, which counted Erica Cronkhite (Fredericton) on their roster, who is a graduate of the Team NB Provincial Team Program.

Volleyball action continues the weekend of February 26-28, as the best of 3 series of the AUS Men's Volleyball Championships between the Dalhousie Tigers and UNB Varsity Reds will start in Halifax on Friday February 26 in Halifax, while the second match will be in Fredericton on Sunday February 28th at 2:00pm. Match 3 if necessary will be in Halifax on March 6th at 2:00pm
