Team NB results at 2009 Canada Summer Games in PEI

After Week 1 delivered two 6th place finishes for Team NB in Beach Volleyball, Focus was on Indoor Volleyball in Charlottetown at UPEI during Week 2.

The Men's team played strong and competitive throughout the round robin despite finishing with a 1-3 record (L vs MB, L vs AB, L vs BC, W vs PEI), they were relegated to the Consolation Round to take on Team NL, powered by Max Burt. Losing 3-0 to Newfoundland and Labrador, they were put back to the test against Host PEI and captured 9th place in a 5 set match.

The Women's team competed in a 6 team pool and struggled against a very athletic Manitoba team, battled against Quebec, and played well versus Alberta. The team captured two wins off Team Yukon and Team Prince Edward Island to finish 4th in their pool. The Women's team defeated Team NL in their consolation semi-final to play Team BC in the 7th place match. Team NB took the first set, but relinquished the following three to Team BC to finish 8th overall
